kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus is the official shuttle bus for kunanyi/Mt Wellington. We’re also the only tour company with exclusive access to the mountain when Pinnacle Road is closed due to snow.

Join us as we travel 1270 metres above sea level and experience spectacular views over Hobart and southern Tasmania. The 2.5 hour return tour includes 30 minutes to take in the views at the summit. OR, if you’re looking for a little more adventure, you also have the option to hop-on and hop-off at 5 Wellington Park bus stops. Explore a variety of short alpine walks on the mountain at your own pace. Then hop-on a later bus to return to Hobart.

Friendly and helpful staff take your booking, then you are treated to an interesting and informative narrative up to the top of the mountain. The round trip takes about 2 hours with a 30 minute stop at the top of the summit. Fabulous and breathtaking views. Excellent service, value for money, and a fantastic experience. We will definitely go again!

This was a last minute booking and was the highlight of our stay! Informative, relaxed, breathtaking! Comfy bus. Fantastic driver David who imparted his knowledge proficiently and with enlightenment. Highly recommend.

Really friendly driver John was fantastic and gave great commentary on the way up. The hop on hop off allowed us to get a 2 hour walk from the summit down and then catch the bus where we desired, very enjoyable! Thank you!

I have young kids and this provided us with the opportunity to bus to the summit and walk downhill to pick up the bus again lower down the mountain. Can’t wait to do the same with the bikes. Super friendly bus driver too! No more hitching rides - now I can use the timetables and bus.

These guys are the only ones who can go up the mountain when the road is closed to others. We had the mountain to ourselves. The crew were great and the bus was first class. If it's clear the view is amazing.
